Galveston Bay Fishing Charters
This is one of our most popular year-round fishing experiences. Great for anglers of all experience levels, we invite you to target some of Texas’ most iconic species at some of Galveston’s best fishing locations. On these trips, you’re always going to have a rod in hand. We want you actively fishing and engaged with bent rods and smiles.
Target Species
We’re targeting BIG fish along the Galveston Jetty and the Galveston Shipping Channel. Species include big bull redfish, black drum, trout, shark, and the occasional flounder.
For most of the year, we’re using a mix of live bait and fresh cut bait—casting big rods and waiting for big hits. Shrimp is a popular live bait along the jetty and shipping channels. For cut bait, we’re using a mix of shad and mullet but it always depends on what’s in season. If we catch any fresh sand trout we may dice them up as they make great fresh cut bait.
Where We Fish
Our location offers an extra level of convenience for accessing some of the most iconic fishing spots around Galveston. Depending on the seasons and weather, we’re going to fish the Galveston Jetties or the Galveston Shipping Channel in the bay.
The Jetties are about a 30-minute run. Along these rocks, we’re fishing for big bull reds, monster black drum, and more depending on the time of year.
The Bay is about a 15-minute run. Out here we’re looking for working birds and bait—aiming to get you the infamous Texas Slam!
What's Included
We have everything taken care of! When you arrive at the Harborwalk Marina, the boat is loaded with fuel, the rods are rigged, and the cooler is loaded with ice. Your professional, USCG-certified captain will have bait ready for your Galveston jetty fishing trip and is there to help every step of the way.
Safety is our top priority on our jetty and bay fishing charters. You can be as hands-on or hands-off as you like when it comes to rigging bait and handling fish. We want you to have that epic picture and memory but always prioritize safe fish handling.
What To Bring
Come prepared for the weather with comfortable clothing and sun protection. We have a cooler loaded with ice, so bring your waters, snacks, lunches, and other beverages for your group for the day. Your captain will be in touch leading up to your trip to go over what to bring in more detail and we’re always here to answer any questions you may have.
Guests over 17 years old will need a Texas Saltwater Fishing License. Contact us if you need any help ordering the proper license for your trip. If you intend to harvest a redfish, you’ll need a Texas Red Drum Tag.
