These trips are great for anglers of all experience levels and we welcome families/kids to come forge memories with unforgettable fights.

Target Species

We’re targeting a mix of shark species around Galveston including Blacktip, Spinners, Hammerheads, Sandbar Sharks, and Atlantic Sharp Nose.  Occasionally we’ll hook into the elusive Tiger Shark and Lemon Shark.

The tactics we use to catch sharks around Galveston greatly depend on the season, but we’re always using a variety of cut bait to trigger a bite.

Mid-July through the end of August, is the most exciting time of the year for shark fishing in Galveston. We’re running offshore, fishing behind shrimp boats. We pull up, get baits in the water, and you’re hooked into a big fight almost instantly. When the inshore season picks up, there are sometimes we’re sight-casting to sharks. It doesn’t get any better.

Outside of that, we’re going to a close oil rig, anchoring up, and bottom fishing for sharks. It all depends on the weather conditions, water, and currents. We are going to do the most productive fishing the conditions allow us to do.

Where We Fish

On our Galveston Shark Fishing Charters, we’re heading up to 9 miles offshore, past the Galveston Jetties, and several miles off the beachfront. We’re drifting behind shrimp boats, searching for schooling bait fish, tying off to a close rig, or visiting the radio tower while looking for sharks, Ling (Cobia), Jacks and more.
